Sound Wave Fun- Ruben’s Tube
Ever hear of a Ruben’s Tube? You’ll never forget it after seeing it in action. Take a pipe, drill holes along it’s length every 1/2 inch, supply it with propane. Add a speaker to one end of the pipe, pump up the sound, light the flames, and watch the magic. The sound waves become standing waves in the flame. You’ll get it when you see it.
