Bryce
Tutorials
By Steve Lareau,
Hilltop Design
These tutorials are nothing earth shattering at all, just
explanations on how I do things. If I post a new image
and get enough email asking how I did something, chances are I'll
put up some sort of explanation on how I did it, and this is where
you'll find them.
Bryce
Animation Tips
This is a series of snippets of emails that were exchanged back
and forth a few years ago with the late Rodney L'Ongnion. It
contains a few things that may be of help concerning Bryce
animations, as far as codecs and formats..
Video
Compression Guide
Information from Mark Fedasiuk on Bryce animations. This area contains some
good rules of thumb, as well as some basic information that may
come in handy.
*note* This is a few years old, and contains some outdated
information.

Tips
This is a selection of shortcuts, tips, and other handy stuff.
Stupid
Terrain Tricks
Did you know that it's possible to mask off areas inside the
terrain editor so that you can work on one area, while leaving the
other area unaffected ? Learn this, as well as how to map a
terrain onto another terrain, allowing it to follow the contours
of the first one. This tutorial comes in handy when you need to
create a road or wall that will follow the contour of the ground.
Stupid
Poser Tricks
This tutorial will show you how to turn Poser People into
amazingly complex looking images! This is truly weird, but really
cool.
Fractal
Terrains
This shows how to turn a fractal into a terrain- and can be
adapted to other ideas too! This will send you to Digital
Producer's website in a new window.
Bryce
Recycling
My tutorial on how you can achieve some rather cool effects
in Bryce by rendering an image, then using that image to create a
new terrain. You can use rendered images of Bryce skies, terrains,
and water, then recycle that image. It allows you to stretch
your imagination and your resources just a little further.
Footprints
in the snow
After creating a Christmas card with footprints in the snow, I had
enough questions about how I was able to create oblong footprints
that I threw this little tutorial together.
